We never planned to build a clothing brand. I simply became curious…....!
I, Miss Krity, with a background in Medical Sciences and a Master's in Botany, have always looked at nature through the eyes of a lecturer. During my journey toward healthier living, I found myself paying closer attention to food, skincare, and lifestyle. One day, a simple question appeared in my mind—if we carefully choose what goes inside our body, why do we rarely ask what stays on our body all day?
That question stayed with me for years. I read about fibres, visited artisans, studied weaving traditions, and learned how different fabrics are made. Slowly, Chokhi Silai was born—not from a business plan, but from a personal conviction that clothing can be beautiful, comfortable, and more conscious.
This brand is my invitation to choose thoughtfully, support craftsmanship, and celebrate nature—one garment at a time.
Our Beginning
Chokhi Silai started with observation rather than ambition. We noticed that convenience was replacing craftsmanship and synthetic materials were becoming the default choice. Instead of accepting that, we chose to learn. For nearly five years, this idea grew quietly alongside work, research, and conversations with weavers, printers, and makers.
Our Name
'Chokhi' represents something pure, good, and authentic. 'Silai' represents the hands, skill, and patience that transform fabric into clothing. Together, they reflect our belief that quality begins with intention.

To build a future where choosing natural, thoughtfully made clothing becomes an everyday habit rather than a luxury.

To make 99% organic, comfortable, timeless, and consciously sustainable clothing accessible while supporting Indian textile traditions, responsible production, and effective waste management.
